We are seeking a spiritually mature and motivated leader to serve as our Director of Youth & Outreach. This role is designed for a person with a heart to disciple the next generation and a vision for growing a small youth group. A key aspect is community engagement—intentionally building connections with students and families inside and beyond the church walls. We are looking for someone who has a heart for the local church and is also eager to step into schools, local events, and everyday spaces to form relationships and invite people into the church community.

 

Requirements

  1. Exhibit a vibrant walk with Jesus Christ through personal devotion and active commitment to the local church.
  2. Uphold the Bible as the one source for truth and communicate the biblical values of Radiant Church as found in the Baptist Faith and Message 2001.
  3. Able and willing to become and remain in good standing as a member of Radiant Church, demonstrating commitment to our statement of faith and conduct. 

 

Youth Ministry Responsibilities

  1. Oversee the administration and teaching of our regular meetings and special events. 
  2. Ensure the youth ministry is actively taking students deeper in the word of God, relationships with others, and the mission of God.
  3. Lead the youth volunteer team to continue to improve on meeting the needs of youth in the church and broader community. 
  4. Set an example of loving, befriending, and sharing with students who are new to the group and church.
  5. Plan and lead fun and safe events for the youth that also develop relationships centered on God’s word.
  6. Participate in weekly staff meetings, being prepared to share about youth and other aspects of church.

 

Outreach Responsibility

  1. Find creative ways to get involved in the local community and reach non-Christians with the gospel. 
  2. Help lead the church in developing a missional culture of connecting with the lost and leading them to Christ. 
  3. Participate in and help orchestrate church events that meet community needs. 

 

Other

  1. Participate in weekly one on one meetings with the lead pastor. 
  2. Participate in guided study and training that will develop spiritual gifts and calling to ministry. 
  3. Help the staff and church with various needs and tasks as they arise (facilities, young adults, special projects).
