Who We Are
We are a diverse community of believers that strives to worship God, love others, and make a difference in the world, one person at a time. Our focus is on being a simple church that follows the Word of God by building a genuine community and living out our faith with others. We are small church but full of faith that great things can and are happening. We enjoy helping others discover or rediscover their faith. Regardless of where you are in your spiritual journey, we would love for you to visit.
Vision and Values
Our Vision and Values are what we believe God has called us to focus on, and they drive what we want to be and do.
Vision Statement
Worshipping God. Loving others.
Influencing the world… one person at a time.
(Ex 20:3-5, Mark 12:30)(Mark 12:31)(Gen 1:26, 28; Matt 28:17).
Mission Statement
We want to be a family oriented church that is passionately worshipping God (Deut 6:5, Matt 22:37), personally connected to others (Acts 2:42, Eph 2:11-22), firmly rooted in the Word (Eph 4:11-16, Luke 6:47-49), deeply involved in the local community (Jer 29, 1 Pet 4:9-10), graciously sharing the faith (John 13:35, Titus 2:9-10), and equipping each person to make a difference in the lives of others. (Eph 4:11-16).
Core Values
These are key areas to focus on for building our church and impacting our city.
Gospel
The gospel is the good news that God is redeeming the world through Jesus Christ. This good news permeates and motivates everything we do, from Sunday preaching to Monday work, Bible studies to soccer games, church services to community events. Christ is the center and focus of all we do. (1 Cor 15:1-4, 2 Cor 5:14, )
Following Jesus
We want every person passionately celebrating and following Christ in all that they do, think, and say. We are followers of Jesus who are helping others follow Jesus. (Deut 6:5, Matt 4:19)
Community
God draws us into relationship with him and that leads to relationships with other believers. Genuine personal relationships are the seedbed of genuine Christian service and mission. (Acts 2:42, Eph 2:22, Eph 4)
Sharing
The good news can’t be contained. We want to proclaim it to others in word and deed, both as individuals (in families, offices, and neighborhoods) and corporately as the church (church planting, evangelists, corporate meetings, support of domestic and foreign missions). This is our great commission (Matt 28:18).
Unity
Racial, economic, and ethnic barriers are big, but the gospel is bigger. Christ makes it possible for people of different backgrounds to come together as brothers and sisters. Radiant Church is a diverse group of people with varied giftings, backgrounds, and callings that are casting aside those differences in order to unite together in the common goal of worshipping God and advancing his kingdom. (1 Cor 12:12-27, Eph 2:14)
Neighbors
God has placed us in the lives of people living in the cross section of Alpharetta and Johns Creek, and we want to be good neighbors by seeking to know, bless, and influence those around us. We want to intentionally remember and help the hurting, struggling, and forgotten in the area. We believe affecting the world begins with first helping those next door. (Jer 29:4-7, 1 Tim 5:8, Matt 22:39).

Our History
The church was started as Bridgeway Church in 1985 by two seminary students who were exploring the need for a new church in the growing suburbs of Alpharetta. A small group of twenty people started meeting and a church was planted. Bridgeway grew, built ministries and buildings, and had a wonderful effect on the community.
After many great years, Bridgeway began to decline and in 2016 began a process of reevaluation on what would best position the church to reach the local community. After considering different ways to move forward, we felt and new and novel approach was not the answer, but instead a return to the basics of the faith: a focus on personal relationships, the Word of God, and helping those in need.
In Spring of 2020 we decided a new name was necessary to distinguish the church from the past. We chose Radiant Church because we are called to be lights in the world, and also to remember our history as a replant. Psalm 34:5 says, “Those who look to him will be radiant, their faces will never be ashamed.” Jesus takes away our shame and we want others to know that, and we want that hope to radiate to the ends of the earth.
We believe our calling is to ignite change in the world by restoring broken people and equipping them to heal others. We all experience hurt and brokenness in life, and in Christ we can both find healing and be used to help others.
Ministries
We believe our calling is to ignite change in the world by restoring broken people and equipping them to heal others. We want to help people find the spiritual, mental, physical, and emotional wholeness that is in Jesus Christ, and then we want those people to go out and help others discover what they have found. In short, our goal is to form healthy people who are igniting change in the world, and this permeates every program we have.
Discovery Groups
We are big on discovering what it means to follow Jesus. Everyone needs to consider this in every season of life. Discovery Groups connect you with other people to read God’s word, reflect what Jesus calls you to do, and who you can help by sharing what you are learning. No matter your season of life or familiarity with the Christian faith, Discovery Groups are an incredible time of growing in your relationship with people and God.
Our goal is to be followers of Jesus that are helping others follow Jesus. Discovery Groups focus on creating new habits centered on God’s word and are also easily replicated so more people can participate in helping others discover God’s purpose.
